What should guests know about THE STORE?

Our mission is to provide an alternative experience away from corporate chains and antique mansions.  THE STORE's proprietor is an architect by profession and an innkeeper by passion. We offer a unique, day-lit respite that melds thoughtful amenities, industrial details and personal service in a historic downtown neighborhood.  Regardless, THE STORE is not a perfect fit for every overnight guest, hence, we kindly request your attention and consideration of the following:

THE STORE is owner occupied via a private second-floor suite and acts as your personal host, innkeeper and personal concierge (like an old-fashioned innkeeper.)

THE STORE is not ADA compliant or wheelchair accessible.

Sleeping rooms are adjacent to one another and located on the second floor accessible only via one flight of stairs.

Interior partitions between rooms are acoustically separated, but THE STORE’s historic wooden floors can creak.

Quiet hours (indoors and outdoors) are 10:00 pm- 7:00 am.

Our downstairs meeting lounge is available for guests to enjoy use during their stay.

Cooking and food prep in our downstairs kitchen is strictly prohibited.

Smoking is strictly forbidden inside and only allowed outdoor designated areas.

Guests must be of legal adult age (18 or older) and have a valid government issued ID to book a reservation.

Is the downstairs lounge available for social events?

No. THE STORE’s short-term rental permit does not allow social gatherings—public or personal—specifically; cocktail dinners, birthday parties, bridal affairs, weddings, receptions, baby showers, etc. In addition, we love our neighbors, respect their peace and quiet and value their friendship.

THE STORE occasionally accepts solicitations from businesses and media productions for professional use of our lounge and grounds, these common areas are available for guests to enjoy and for the owner’s personal activities including invitation-only events.
